Question #4:

Anyone belive that the US could split up anytime soon?

Interesting video from CNN shows it could happen soon, I don't think nessacarily under the same conditions as mentioned in the prediction, but if things got really bad, say the financial crisis really messed things up, there were natural disasters at the wrong time, and the government proved helpless, would any states split off?

Yes but I doubt there would be a civil war if they split this time around. But say the financial crisis means everyone is poor and irratated at the government, and then a couple of hurricanes strike Louisiana, and the federal gov't can't offer much aid, would they be angry enough to strike and demand succesion? It would only take one state to rebel, for others to at least consider it.

Question #10:

Do you think the economic melt down and financial crisis will threaten globalization and pure capitalism?

We have saw that unregulated capitalism is bad for the country and the world. We exported very complex special purpose vehicles to the outside world, and ultimately assisted in the destruction of Iceland. We needed to fully regulated the secularization markets. This need has ultimately force the government to exercise socialist policy in order to compensate for the lack of consumer spending. There were a lot of individuals in the Bush Administration who had ideological views that less government will steam economic vitality and it will be best for government to stay away. But we have seen the wreckage of what happens when government stays on the sidelines. There is no one watching the hen house.

Question #14:

Is the economic meltdown a piece of the Bible's end times?

I know the world went through financial crisis before with the Great Depression and God didn't return then, but much has changed since 1929. Many of the Bible's major prophecies about the end times have been fulfilled (the return of Israel, the European Union/"revived Roman empire" etc) within the last 80 years.

Then just the other day I read that Gerald Celente, a respected economic trend forecaster, believes the global economy will collapse by 2012, leading to revolution-esque chaos, tax rebellions and civil unrest. Could this be the doorway for the UN or some other organization to come in and begin forming the Single World Government?
I didn't say 2012 was the end. This has nothing to do with the Mayan thing.

Question #18:

what are the actual causes for the financial crisis experienced by the world currently?

Question #19:

Anyone believe the world is going to end soon?

Do you think that something is stirring, I mean with the end of the world rumors/facts? We have been having lots of bizarre weather, earthquakes occurring frequently, astrological rare events in space (check space weather dot com) ... and new outer space discoveries (water/ice in Mars, sugar molecules in the milky way, black holes, that atom collider thing, and or wars on earth. Russia is growing power and aiding Iran with nuclear weapons. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's intent is well known to destroy Israel and America is in a financial crises, you do the math... America is very strong but, we have lots of people on the other side who despises US.

Now that that's out of the way, we still have wars with plagues, viruses, weather and "space wars" concerning asteroids/meteors. Now this is broad open minded thought but, as a whole in my mind it's very interesting to see how everything is being put out as suppose to many-many years ago (in my opinion.) It just intensifies and as a result, changes occur. Which brings up Obama- a person who believes in "change"... from that, the Mayan calendar 2012 which is suppose to be the year of great change and enlightenment. Just looks like a puzzle to me. Look at our capabilities, scientist already found a way to clone animals (Dolly the sheep.) Clones are made of cells through genetic manipulations, I don't know if it's stable but it is scary and the thought of immortality soon for human cloning. Which reminded me of this bible verse;

"And in those days (its referring to the great tribulation) shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them." (Revelation 9:6)

...if science (I'm sure they will) find a way to clone humans, we would have this immortal body, a replica of someone we know. The bible states that when we do, death will escape us during the tribulation. Imagine people blowing off their head and not die, trying to kill themselves from the wrath of God? Horrible thought.. that's what you get for playing god I guess.

All these things is what led me to this and wanted to ask all of you for your opinion on this and elaborate on that. Pretty broad open minded I think.. What do you think, is this just baloney or do you honestly believe the bible is giving us a warning? Please serious answers only, no bashing at other peoples religion or making statements about certain beliefs without at least having certain knowledge on the subject.
