You bet they cowered. To many secrets would come to light and the politicians would be scurrying like roaches for cover.

It will never happen. the fed is a giant criminal enterprise that exists above the law

Some of them may be just plain uneducated. My House member responded to my urging to support the bill, "The Federal Reserve serves an important function in regulating ... yada yada ... an open audit would destabilize ... yada yada ..." -- blathering straight from the FedProp dis-info manual.

I'm only saying this because I've met the man and he is ... ah, a bit simple. Is still no defense, and I have no doubt that many others were outright pressured or bought.
